COMPETITION CREWS

At House of Swag, our competition crews are at the heart of what we do. A competition crew is a group of dancers who train together weekly, building their skills, confidence, and performance level, before taking to the stage at competitions across Ireland and beyond. We have crews for all ages and abilities, starting from as young as 3 years old. No matter your level, there is always a place for you at House of Swag.

We are proud to offer options for every dancer, from those who want a fun and local competition experience to those aiming for the highest international stage. Every dancer is supported, developed, and guided at the level that suits them best.

Commitment & Expectations

Being part of a crew is a commitment. All dancers are expected to:

  • Attend their weekly crew training

  • Attend scheduled competitions

  • Put in effort, focus, and teamwork each week

If a dancer is unable to commit to this, we always recommend staying in regular classes instead, where they can still grow, improve, and enjoy dance without the added pressure of competitions.

Missing crew training regularly will result in a dancer being removed from their crew and placed back into the Development Team. Missed training may result in removal from the crew and placement back into Development Tea

Dancers in this class will be placed on a crew when they are ready and there is a team available. They can still attend all competitions to do solos, duos etc..

Crew Costumes

All crews have a team costume for the year. For recreational and premier teams, this is ordered in June. For Elite teams this is ordered in December/January. This outfit is worn at all competitions during the year.
